I am a girly-girl type woman when it comes to scent.  I loooooove scent.  I love scented candles.  I love incense.  I love aromatherapy and essential oils.  Once I began going more green and realizing what was in basic perfumes, I panicked.  I didn’t want the toxic chemicals on my skin so that I could smell like a day at the beach but I didn’t want to go without either.

Being recently diagnosed with a gluten intolerance/sensitivity, I was in my doctor’s office and looking at the products they sell.  I immediately zeroed in on the Hugo Naturals body mists.  Jackpot!  They were not only gluten free but also legitimately all natural, vegan, soy free and not tested on animals.

There was a sampler for the vanilla and sweet orange variety, which would have been my first choice as I obsess over vanilla, but no bottles for purchase.  There was a bottle or two of french lavender available but I gravitated toward the sea fennel & passionflower for reasons that I still don’t understand.

That said, I am in love with this scent!  It’s as refreshing as stepping out of the shower and as rejuvenating as a spring rain.  It’s not an overwhelming or powerful scent (as I worried the lavender would be) and it really lifts my mood.   I keep the bottle in my handbag and spritz myself throughout the day, whenever I need a little pick-me-up.

Hugo Naturals’ website says the mist will “cool, calm and hydrate” and can be used as a facial toner (essential oils lock in moisture), hair refresher, linen spray and/or room spray.  Wow!   It’s also made in the U.S.A. for those of you who want to shop home-based products.

Even better, it’s not ridiculously expensive.  Just about five dollars gets you 4 ounces of this awesome goodness.
